Party central week. Relief Society "Un-Birthday" party where we had a service auction. LA's, Investigators out of the WOODWORKS show up. They have this cute little survey you have to fill out of all the service or "good-deeds" you've done to earn "service bucks" to bid with. Missionaries got automatic most "5 points every time you opened your scriptures this week..." .....1,000?? Like seriously 100 questions long....so we end up with like 400 points. A lot. ...................Judy cashes in. "3,285"........................................wut. Everyone's just like ok...she bids on EVERYTHING so we finally just start upping the bids just to run her out of money...(sin? I think not...)
MArtino. Elder Martino that is. From the Seventy. Came to speak to us. Like SO.BLESSED. CHANGED.MY.LIFE. well a little bit at least. He is like the most inspired guy EVER. Had meetings with him allllll day. Oh, had a little leadership meeting beforehand and just stomped out all of our brains, swirled them around, and molded them back into General Authority status. If I could transcribe all of my notes I would but mainly read Alma 8-12 and realize that Almulek was a Less Active member who was changed into the most righteous Member Present for Alma in existence. #preach
Run. Boy Scout Fundraiser Ward Party. It was a REAL auction of desserts. WITH a Talent Show. LITERALLY the best thing of.my.life. Basically no one signed up for talents so the YM went to the Primary and let the kids have a free for all on the sign up list. Cup stacking....Hula-hooping for 4 minutes straight...thats it.....Napolean Dynamite dance....Beehives synchronized dance... topped off with an original song from Judy Mills.............................................basically what I'm saying is I should change all of my emails as tributes to Judy....enough material to last to the eternities. Anyway dessert auction finally comes. Bishop gives us and the Elders money to bid with. Everyone hates us because we got all the good stuff because no one wanted to out bid us. NAMELY the best peanut butter bars you've EVER tasted. "Each bite exhalts one Gentile" according to the Elders. But everyone had mis-placed pity on us and contributed the treats they bought to the "starving missionaries" ........literally just running away from children chasing after us with cupcakes, cake-pops, brownies.......bear in a bathtub (brownie, marshmallows, teddy-grahams = GENIUS..but disgusting)......and baklava...???
Totes had a baptism. Part Member Family status. Saturday was E. Martino day....plus baptism......plus winter blast??? Meetings in the morning....left during the lunch break for the baptism....forgot all of the programs....late....missed a picture...snagged one as they are walking in to the font....gave a talk on the Holy Ghost wile Holy Ghost'n it since no time to prepare......closing prayer running like mad back to Elder Martino meetings where I'm playing the piano for the special musical number/getting my mind blown by the Spirit.........and then ended the night off with Lawrence Welks Show aka Ward Talent Show........and then church was cancelled. NEVAAAAAAAA.
Yes. Interviews with Pres. Best day of the Transfer for sure. Love that man.
?......Sunday...Snow Day?? Cars were parked. Church was canclled. Winter Tundra outside halted all sort of human activity....aka 2 inches of puff on the ground. But whatevs. Elders went to drop of something at other Elders apartment...right as cars were parked. So they were stranded all day. Resuce mission'd it with Sis Smith who we live with and got them. Played Guesstures in honor of the Oscars............ANNIHILATED. Literally realized that I am a PRODIGY at that game. #OddCouple guessed that within like 4 seconds. HOW. I will never know...
!Elder BEDNAR comes this week. THAT would be David A. FREEEEAKING OUT. Can't wait. Prepare for my life to be totally chastised/rebuked followed up with an Apostolic call to repentance......followed up with a Q & A sesh. (literally so nervous, he's given us 3 talks we have to study and just going to call us out and ask questions about it....SO INTENSE. pray for me.)
